About Us
Dramalab was launched In 2001 by husband and wife actors Richard Huw and Janice Laurie with the aim of providing affordable, exciting and interesting workshops to young people. Neil Morrissey, a close friend, believing that "Acting gives you confidence, teaches communication and social skills and a wider perspective of what's going on in the world", is its Patron.

RICHARD HUW trained at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama and has been
acting professionally ever since. He was a member of the BBC radio
repertory
company and has toured in theatres across the country. He played Peter
Pan at Bristol Old Vic and Romeo at the Young Vic in London. The majority
of his work is now in television. He has been a regular in TV series
such as Van der Valk, Sleepers and
M.I.T. Other well known
shows include Eastenders, Coronation Street, The Bill, Casualty,
Doctors, Heartbeat, Foyle's War,
Holby City and Silent Witness. He
appeared in, and was the Acting Coach for Alex Pettyfer, in the feature film
Stormbreaker Richard is also a voice-over artist for documentaries and commercials. He enjoys
holding the Dramalab workshops whenever his acting commitments allow.
