Do
you have to audition to get into Dramalab?
|
No,
there are no auditions for dramalab. It is available to any young person
who loves drama.

How
many are there in the workshops?
|
Numbers
are limited to 22 students for the 11-18 years workshops and 18 for
the 7-10 years.

How
long are the workshops?
|
Workshops are 90 minutes
for the 11-18 years workshops and 60 minutes for
the 7-10 years.
|
|
Is
there a workshop every week?
|
No,
we run alongside the school terms. You have a week off at half term
and all the holidays.
|
|
What
should be worn to the workshops?
|
Whatever
you feel most comfortable wearing.
|
|
Are
parents allowed into the workshops?
|
No,
even our youngest members are less inhibited without their parents watching
and they interact better with each other.
|
|
Must
the workshops always be paid for a term in advance?
|
Yes,
unless an arrangement has been made at the start of term with the workshop
leader.

Is
there a discount fee for siblings?
|
Yes,
each sibling gets a 25% discount and that includes our summer youth
theatre.

Do
you have a child protection policy?
|
Yes, each
workshop leader has a copy and all leaders are CRB checked and
have done a first-aid course.

| Do Dramalab help with taking drama exams e.g. LAMDA? | No, we never do exams in Dramalab |
| Who runs the workshops? | Only professional actors, people who have a drama degree or who are a chosen specialist in their field i.e. a fight director |

Does
Dramalab put on performances?
|
Sometimes
we devise a piece to perform to friends and family at the end of term.

Are
workshops ever cancelled?
|
No,
actors know other actors and there are people standing in the wings
to take over should a workshop leader suddenly get an acting job.

Does
Dramalab compliment the training for other schools
e.g. The BRIT School? |
Yes,
we have only had positive feedback from our GCSE students and students
at The BRIT School.

Do
you have a summer school or any workshop during the holidays?
|
Yes,
but it is up to the individual workshop leaders to arrange this.
